Why can't you contact them in writing ?

Their mailing address is on this page.

If this is about the other problem you posted, here is what I have to say about:

None of ebay's outgoing form letters accept incoming replies.

If you have issue with the content of the message that you received, you can call Customer Service to discuss it. I am sure they would be happy to elaborate on the reason(s) you received the message that you did.

The ebay Customer Service contact number can be found at the top of bottom of any page. Pick through the menu options until you find one that best matches your current scenario and give it a call.

Best of luck to you.

If you're referring to contacting eBay in writing by email, that has not been available to sellers for several years.

If you need to follow up on, or have questions about, an email notification you've received from eBay, call Customer Service ("CS").  To do that, click on the "Help & Contact" link at the very top (or bottom) of any eBay page, then click on the blue button "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page and follow the prompts.

A word of advice: eBay CS people vary in their knowledge and understanding of eBay policy.  Many seem to be mere mouthpieces, reading off a script, with little insight into seller issues, and a lot of them have a questionable command of English.  Be persistent and patient.  If you get someone who seems less than well-informed and you have an important issue to deal with, ask for a manager or supervisor.  Try calling during regular PST business hours, as you may be more likely to get a U.S. rep who can at least understand your issue.
