What am I supposed to do?

I went to purchase a product and was told it wasn't able to be delivered to my residence in Canada. Now it is telling me to pay for it? Im not sure what to do at this point, as I will not be paying for this product as they cannot ship to me.

Was the item listed as shipping to the US only? If so,contact the seller and apologies for your mistake and tell him that you will agree to a mutual cancelation request if he would send you one. This will relieve you of the obligation to pay and the seller will get his fees back.

Hello 'werdna',

It is really important to read over the whole of a listing, especially the parts on the right where it says 'Ships to'.  In this case, the seller only ships within the US.  Perhaps when you send your nice note of apology he will be willing to get a rate & mail it to you anyway.  If not, the Cancellation is the way to go.  Be sure to click Respond and then Accept when it shows up in your ebay messages.

You'll need to contact the seller and make nice, though, because you don't want him to file an Unpaid Item case against you, nor tack on some outrageously high Priority shipping fee.

Some items cannot be imported into certain countries. Germany restricts Nazi paraphenalia. Most countries block ivory. Canada apparently is very cautious about paintball accessories.

Knowing these restrictions is up to the importer. If your seller is telling you there will be a problem at the border, thank him and ask for the Mutual Cancellation. Leave glowing feedback for his help.

If you attempt to import a restricted item, it may be seized and you would be out both money and product. This would not be the fault or responsibility of the seller. Only yours.
