When an item is paid for and shipped, does the shipped logo automatically get filled in?

I purchased 4 items from the same seller on July 25th.. The items were paid for and payment was cleared, however the items are still showing as not shipped. I contacted the seller and they claim that the items were shipped and that they just hadn't updated their system. I have just checked again and they shipped icon is still not filled in. Not sure what I should do.

If the seller goes through PayPal shipping and prints the shipping labe there, the shipped icon is automatically activated. It's only been a week since you paid for the items and two of those days were a weekend. Wait another couple of weeks and contact the seller again if the items have not yet arrived. Ask for the delivery confirmation numbers for the items. They may have been shipped without delivery confirmation, but asking shows that you are serious about the situation. If the seller doesn't respond or try's to delay any action on your part, you might consider an item not received dispute. You have up to 45 days from the time you paid to open an item not received dispute through the PayPal resolution center. Open a dispute no later than day 43. You would have to open a separate dispute for each item.

Hello 'kathryn',

I find lots of sellers who don't bother to use the little 'sent' icon, and as many more who don't use it properly.  They don't mark it shipped at all, or else do so and then don't mail the item until days (or weeks!) later.  It's not always much of an indicator of if and when your item is on its way.

How does the seller's feedback look?  If everyone else is getting their items, I'm sure you will too.  Anyway, it is far too early to be worried about it.

If you did not pay for tracking you will not be getting it.  Tracking is expensive, and if you only paid for 'frugal post', the most that provides is a Delivery Confirmation number to the seller.  If you have not received your items after 4 weeks, contact the seller again, and if you need to, you can go for the Not Received claim.

Cheap-o mail is slow, if that's the service you paid for, but should you eventually need to think about a claim, the following link tells you about it:
