When did this start? --- DESRIPTION above the fold

I just noticed this today on my listings...

Just above the Description Tab/Shipping and Payments Tab

there is now "Description"

Not something I put there or chose to. Looks like ebay has added this, using text from the seller provided Description area.

I checked a few other sellers listings, some have this, some don't.

Has anyone heard anything about this? Permanent? If so, what you put in the first few lines of your description becomes more important

I've seen a few posts about it on the U.S. boards and it seems to be something random that ebay has been testing on some listings so at this point it doesn't seem to be permanent.  But you would think that ebay would actually let the sellers affected know about it so that the information that ends up in that box is pertinent.

When you set up the book listing, did you enter the ISBN and get the book? I only found one of your titles that was pretty definitely post-1975 and would pretty definitely have an ISBN, but it didn't look as if you usually use the catalogue.

The text you mention sounds like an eBay catalogue blurb. I usually prefer to use my own descriptions and the ones eBay will show can be deleted before you list.
