A while ago a buyer complained because I didn't have the number of the book or patterns on my listings, so I have been adding them to all my listings.
I was surprised when i checked a listing and found that under the category at the top of the page, there is a message that says "see other listing of this book #******. I have found a lot of my listing with similar messages.
I pay a lot for my store fees, I don't see why I should pay for other sellers listings to come up. I realize that they can do a search, but this makes it really easy to see other sellers listings.

Hi triber, I agree, it's too bad that eBay shows others listings on our pages. I don't think there is much we can do about it though. I know this is a bit off topic, but have you ever used GTC for your items, and if so, do you think it saves you time or promotes sales? I'm running out of time with all the changes, etc on eBay plus trying to look after my non-eBay life. Thanks.

Do you mean the
People who viewed this item also viewed
halfway down the page or the
Similar items you may be interested in
and
See what other people are watching
at the bottom?
Or is there something new?
I also thought there was a setting you could use to turn-off those cross promotions.
Remember, if some other seller's listing is showing on your page, yours are showing on theirs too.

I've looked at a couple of your listings and I cannot recreate the 'see other' that you describe under the Category at the top of the page. Can you give us an Item Number where this has happened? I'd like to see what new trouble is on the horizon.

Are you seeing this on completed listings or current ones?

Oh right, maybe that:
More chances to get what you want

vintagenorth: I list most of my craft books and patterns on 30 day listings and do bulk relisted when they finish, it only takes a couple of minutes.
Yarn, china and other items I list with GTC, they are usually slower to sell.

Are you looking at your listings on ebay.ca or ebay.com? Should that matter? Sometimes the new 'features' don't make it across the border as quickly. But from what you're describing here, I;m not seeing what you are seeing. I wonder if this is due to our different search histories. Ebay might know you are an active pattern-pursuer whereas they might guess I'm only window shopping? Still, that doesn't make sense either. I could start buying patterns at any time, they don't know. Maybe you are part of a BETA test group.

Never mind, I see it now when I go to ebay.com. Maybe it was there when I looked before, it's hardly noticeable. For now. This is the Product Pages thing they're talking about. If you click, you get sent to a catalogue card with other listings.

My stuff, when a match is found in the Product Catalogue is a trainwreck. I've been complaining about this from day one. The version I get for my stuff is different. It sits at the bottom of the page and it less specific. I discovered these new pages a few months ago, I call them Product Catalogue Cards, I don't know their real name.

Thanks, yes, that is what I am seeing on many of my listings. I am not happy about it. I am going to remove the number of the book or pattern so it won't be so easy to offer others with the same number.
mjwl: I don't know how to do a screen shot.
