Watchers, as we all know, are not necessarily buyers but instituting a fee to allow someone to watch an item would drive away sales entirely. Besides, I have seen that these Lookey-Lou's are doing us a favour: the more Watchers on an item, the more relevant ebay thinks it is to people and the higher it will be shown in Best Match results.
But if you're going to talk about novel ideas for fees, I'd like to see a fee that goes to the original creator of an item listing whenever another seller comes along and utilizes Sell One Yourself on it. Since, you know, the original seller did all the actual work and the others are just riding their coattails.
