Why is all my ebay stuff being shipped by Canpar ? Horrible.  2 hour car ride to pick up package. Pay $12 for extra delivery. What a RIP OFF !!!!

It's the seller's choice as to which shipping method they use. If you do not like their shipping choice, find a seller who uses a shipping method you approve of. Or before bidding, ask the seller if they are willing to use a different shipping method.

If you are buying items from the USA that display this:

Customs services and international tracking provided

then you are buying from a seller who uses the Global Shipping Program.

Pitney Bowes who run the GSP for eBay choose the most efficient shipper from their plant to your doorstep. If CanPar was their choice, someone was having a bad day.

Next time, phone CanPar and ask if there is an alternative. For example, could you arrange a drop off at your workplace? Or a specific time when you will certainly be at home.?

But if the seller is within Canada, you should (politely) explain why his choice of shipper was flawed. If he is not helpful, at least $12 worth of helpful, then you have feedback and DSRs to express your opinion.

There has to be something different about this situation because I have had Canpar deliver to my door step Many times and I am in an extremly rural area

I would like to know why Canpar will not deliver to youi ... Are you FAR away from Civilization... I am in rural area but live 60 km left or right away from shipping centres so items always come to my door with Canpar but there has to be a reason they are not brining them to you ....
