You won't find a lawyer in Ontario who will work on "contingency" (for a percentage) it is (or was) against the rules of the Law Society.

It is the main reason we don't have the ridiculous amount of pointless litigation that they have in the USA. The downside is that if you have no money getting good representation is difficult.
