canada post shopping comparison site

Hello everyone,

Many of you have probably seen the new Canada Post online shopping comparison site, I had attempted to sign up for this site for extra advertising and everything seemed ready to go then I received an email stating because of my affiliation with ebay they would not allow my buy it now listings to go on the site, I was stunned considering ebay pushes and advertises the use of Canada Post on their site and I use Canada Post to ship all my orders which is in the thousands of patronage to Canada Post yet I am not allowed to advertise with them, I see DELL is advertising with them too and I know Dell has an ebay store.

Everytime i mention ebay to my supliers or potential advertisers everyone backs away and treats me like I have a disease.

We have been attending trade shows for many years and initially we were treated like that when suppliers found out that we sold at craft shows & events...and even when we mentioned that we rented space in stores....and then eventually online. Over the years I have seen them change their attitude somewhat about all of them, especially online sales. We don't always mention eBay. We have more credibility when we say online.

And I don't fail to mention that all but one of the brick & mortar stores we used except one have closed but we are still in business. The suppliers that I regularly use treat me the same way that they treat their other customers.

Red,

Were you trying to sign up your ebay store link or your own website?

I seen this happen too. Suppliers treat eBay sellers like leppers.

We also had the opposite - customers walking away because we use mostly CanadaPost. So they are not better from each other. A UPS store owner told me she would not touch CanadaPost with 10-ft pole.

Anyway, easy solution - do business under two different names. One of them can be solely for purchasing.
