damn why can't I learn to read the fine print?

Madly listing during the latest promo period - and thank you for the invite ebay - when I noticed insertion fees occuring.  Hmmmm - went back and read the fine print wher it states that ebay.com's prom runs until 23:59 (Pacific time) on Feb 3rd but ebay.ca's runs until 23:59 (Eastern time).  Is there a rhyme or reason to this or do they deliberately try and confuse us?  Or is it all a secret government IQ test?  Only the shadow knows....

eBay.com (USA) is based in California and uses Pacific time - that is normal - no secret

eBay.ca (Canada) is headquartered in Toronto and uses Eastern time - that is normal - no secret
