In the words of Dorothy Parker, "What fresh hell can this be?"
http://www.ecommercebytes.com/cab/abn/y15/m09/i18/s01
"eBay is surveying sellers on a host of issues ranging from fee structure to a radical new approach to search. In its letter to sellers inviting them to take the survey, eBay said it was always trying to improve the eBay experience, "and there's no better group of advisors than our customers."
Examples:
"How would you feel if a product search on eBay showed buyers only the top 5 most relevant search items? A link to see the other items would be provided."
"How would you feel if you could purchase access to eBay customer service to sellers that is tailored to your needs?"
"How would you feel if you could opt-in to a program that would allow you to see your competitors' sales funnel data and they could in return see yours?"
""How would you feel if you could pay to promote items that you have listed on eBay to customers when they were viewing comparable items being sold by other merchants, and similarly they could promote their items to customers who were viewing items that you were selling?"
You really have to read this. Can you pipe in if you've been asked to complete this survey? Or is it availalbe only to ebay.com sellers?

Oh they are going to offer home delivery as an option too. Using their own truck/sdrivers that are no doubt paid less then the post office and already doing a daily route

Something like that might work fine here in heavily populated areas but I think that there are many areas here that wouldn't be able to have home delivery or have close access to a store.

Yes, I agree, which is no doubt the reason such a fulfillment arrangement works in a place like the U.K., with a large population in a very small geographical area.

Surveys are always bent towards the business that is paying for the Survey - always.
Remember Ralph Klein - every time he wanted to change something Ralph: "went to the people" and ya know what - the result was always what Ralph wanted in the first place - amazing.
The worst is that most people bought it.
And that is why about $80 of my power and gas bill is charged every month no matter how much energy I use - the charge is always there. It used to be based on how much power and gas were used. It used to be base on how much energy was used - if you went away for a month - no charge now - $80.
Thanks Ralph - I figure he had his hand in someones shorts.
I have a cabin in BC and I am not charged for the whole winter - about 7 months - because I use no engery. In Alberta It would cost me hundreds. I suppose their time will come if they are not wary.
