Please join us on Thursday, August 25, from 1-2 PM ET for a workshop with Canada Post. Kim from Canada Post will be here to answer all of your questions about Canada Post letterpost service and what the regulations are for using this type of service.

If you are not able to attend, you can leave your questions here in advance of the workshop and they will be answered during the workshop, and you can come back in and check the answers.

Hope you can join us!

If CP doesn't accept to send a tiny button with low price, are the americans responsible for this - to protect their own american sellers?

Another couple of earlier questions asked about our new "ship-in-a-click" application.

This is designed for consumers and the rates offered are the same as what they would pay at the post office. There is no registration or customer number required -- anyone can use it.

If you would like to take advantage of your VentureOne discount, and additional automation discounts, please use our Electronic Shipping Tool online.

As for Expedite parcel, this is a product that is offered for small busines and commercial customers only.

Well it's after 2pm, we probably wont be getting any more answers today. How frusterating! Nothing was really established! CP should have read all the posts before this started and had answers ready to go. There are over 500 posts, there is no way Kim could deal with them all in an hour, why was there no pre-preparation?

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all of your participation today, and for all of the great questions for Canada Post.

We are going to wrap up the workshop now, and lock the thread as we are out of time. Please check back in a few days for answers to some remaining questions.

Hope to see you all on the next Canada Post workshop in September, date will be announced soon.

Feels like we have just tapped into a print version of the shopping channel. When do we hear about the veg-o-matic?

Many of us will loose their job with this restrictive policy - Has CP a solution for those little merchants who try just to make a decent living?

If this was a live, in person forum the police would presently be breaking up a chair throwing riot from the frusterated attendees..

There as another question about whether items that had electronic labels could be dropped into a street letter box instead of going to the post office.

The answer to this is yes. Any packages that have been generated electronically (EST Online, Ship-in-a-click) can be inducted into a street letter box. This includes Canadian, US and International shipments.

This is a fairly new change for US/International and all of the information and labels are currently being updated.

Thanks again for all your interest in Canada Post, and your great questions. We appreciate the exposure this forum gives us to understand your concerns and allow us to try to find ways to serve you better. The eBay community is clearly very close to our business (sometimes you know us better than we do), and we do appreciate your business!!!

Thanks, we will get back on any questions we didn't get to, and we look forward to our next workshop with you.

- Kim

Kim

If you reviewed this entire thread to find these obscure questions (and provide detailed answers) why can you not address the primary concern of the many posters regarding the clarification to the "new/old" letter-post regulations?

Okay, so if I have the proper postage, I can induct my letter-post mail, and keep my fingers crossed. Works for me...
