help on setting up charity donations savethelasalle

can i set up donations to a specific Charity .. There is a closed down theatre in the town i grew up in and they are going to restore and would like to set my store up to give 10% of all sales to the Lasalle theatre in kirkland Lake to give something back to the community that gave me many goods years ...

 

To my knowledge which is in many cases limited this is only available to do on .com ??

 

Any help or guidance would be appreciated

You want to give to a specific charity?

 

Write them a cheque and keep the information private.

The rules are complicated-- and we are talking eBay complicated here!

I don't know if pierre is working on the "let not thy left hand..." basis or whether he thinks that buyers react poorly to what feels like a forced donation to a charity or whether he thinks the customer will be suspicious of any charity they have not heard of, but I don't think adding a charity would increase your sales and may even reduce them.

And that pre-supposes that the theatre is set up as an actual charity (and not a non-profit corporation which is easier). 

I must say your line of DVDs works well with the idea of supporting the reopening of a movie theatre.
