so i bought an item prior to making an account and now I have no tracking number from the seller yet. i really want a tracking number so i can see where my package is.

P.s, im new to buying on ebay. please someone help me ASAP

Not all items are sent with tracking numbers.

The tracking number is for the protection of the seller. It is a useless expense for the buyer.

Where did the shipment originate?

Allow 15to 20 days for shipping from North America.

Allow seven to 15 days fro shipping from Europe.

Allow 20 to 30 days for shipping from Asia.

If the package has not arrived by then, contact the seller and ask for the date of shipment and service used. Also ask for the Delivery Confirmation number, but don't expect to get one.

For example, a untracked package from Canada to Europe costs $9.10 up while a tracked package would cost $39.81 up. (I just had those numbers handy. You can check costs by going to the website of the originating country. )

If the seller cannot give a satisfactory answer, mark Day 40 after your purchase on your calendar. If the parcel still hasn't arrived by then, start an Item Not Received claim.

BTW, "I will send another " is not a satisfactory answer. There is no reason to believe a 'replacement' will ever arrive.
