Unless I am reading it wrong the manufacturers website gives the maximum Ram as 192

Toshiba Satellite units typically have a longer model than what you're providing. "2800" is the series, usually there'd be a hyphen ( - ) followed by a second number, that'd be more specific on the model, e.g. "2800-S202" or "2800-C500" or "2800-200"
