EBay is a venue to advertise your products. Everything else is up to you.
Before you try to sell on eBay, do some buying from Canadian, US and overseas sellers. You don't need to spend much money. I would suggest buying some packing materials, a metric digital scale and perhaps something from a potential competitor who has good feedback.
BTW, when you do sell as a new unproven seller, Paypal will hold your customer's payment for up to 21 days against your good performance.
