I'm in the US and  purchased some sheets from a seller in India. The sheets were advertised at being 100% cotton.  I received the sheets via DHL. They are not 100% cotton but a poly cotton blend. The seller denies this but I tested the fabric myself and cotton fibers do not melt.  The seller will only refund me if I return the item to India at my cost which is about 1/2 the price I paid for the sheets.

There are US Customs labeling requirements for textiles and this vendor is in violation of that and I informed her of such.  I disputed the transaction through Paypal, but they won't help me get the shipping paid for.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

You have up to 60 days to leave appropriate feedback for the seller. At that time you can also leave Detailed Seller Ratings. The lowest Rating is ONE Star.

DSRs are more important to sellers than feedback, since DSRs below 4.3 can lead to restriction or even suspension of the ability to list and sell on eBay.

Meanwhile, if you cannot use the sheets, you can list and sell them yourself on eBay or on Kijiji (free and you can accept cash payment). Or donate them to a shelter for abused women if you don't need the money.

The thing about labelling and import restrictions is not practical.

Thank you.  Unfortunately this was purchases outside of ebay because I asked the seller if she could provide a second set of sheets. Instead of creating a new listing, she sent me a paypal link to pay.  I should have realized that but I didn't. So know there is no way to leave any feedback.  The seller has sold 115 items all with 100% pos feedback which tells me that people are being fooled and no one has check thus far.

I'm not as concerned about the money as I am to keeping fraudulent sellers off Ebay...and there are plenty I'm sure.
