Hey there, is anybody else experiencing a frozen screen when you get to the picture page of the listing area? What is happening to me is that I am trying to revise my item, but when I go to revise picture, the screen freezes ALL THE TIME and I can't do anything. I've reset my computer, turned it off, cleared cache, everything. Anybody else having this problem?

Yep, I was having the same problem. If running Windows Xp I set up another user account on the computer and used the browser there and it worked fine. But when I went back to my old account it froze up steady. I think it is an E-Bay problem with script. It has since been good and I didn't do anything. I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and it doesn't recognize the enhanced picture service, so you have to resize before you upload the pics to E-Bay. Pain in the A$$. Try the other account browser thing. That will work.

it's happening to me too....I followed the instructions given to me from eBay, still freezing up on me. 😞

Maybe it will help u guys:

-------ebay wrote-------

Recent enhancements have made it necessary to download a new ActiveX
control in order to use Full Featured eBay Picture Services. The
ActiveX control is a small piece of software that gives you the ability
to crop and rotate your pictures, load multiple images at the same time,
and load images larger than 600K from the Sell-Your-Item form. You must
accept the ActiveX download prompt to use full featured eBay Picture
Services.

It is possible that you were not prompted to download a copy of the new
eBay Active X control. Or it did not install correctly if you were
prompted. What I would recommend is that you delete the current control.
You should then be prompted for a new control the next time you list and
select the Enhanced image hosting option.

To delete the old control follow the directions I have included below:

1. Select the "Tools" menu from the top of your browser window.

2.Select "Internet options" from the drop down Tools menus

3. When the Internet options window opens make sure the General tab is
selected, then choose the "Settings" button under Temporary Internet
files.

4.This will bring up a different Settings page, where you will want to
select the "View objects" button.

5.This will bring up still another window where you will see different
files. You want to find one that says EPU (or EPS) Image Control and
delete it. This can be done by clicking on the file with your right
mouse button. That should bring up a small drop down with a couple of
options. One being to delete the file.

The next time you list you will want to be sure you select the Enhanced
image hosting option. This should prompt you to download the control
again.

To reset photo hosting preference to full-featured eBay Picture
Services, please go to page three of the "Sell Your Item" form. When you
reach the "Add Pictures" section, you will see two tabs. If not already
selected, please select the tab on the left that says:

eBay Picture Services
Let eBay host your pictures

You should see square image wells with "Add Picture" buttons with a
camera icon in each square. This will let you know that you are using
full-featured Picture Services If you are seeing "Browse" buttons, then
please click on the link above these buttons that says, "Upgrade to our
free full-featured version."

You can also easily reset your image preferences at any time by going to
your "My eBay." Click on the "eBay Preferences" link located on the
left-hand side of the page under "My Account" heading. Your "Sell Your
Item picture preference" will be stated on your eBay Preferences page.
To change your picture hosting preference, please click the "change"
link, make your selection on the page that is returned and click
"Submit."

You may be prompted to approve the download of the code necessary to
provide the picture boxes of the full-featured eBay Picture Services.
The ActiveX control is a small piece of software that enables the
ability to crop and rotate your pictures, edit the brightness and
contrast of your pictures and use the Auto Fix tool. The enhanced
version of Picture Services also allows you to preview images before you
upload them, to upload larger pictures, and to upload pictures faster.

Note: The full-featured version of eBay Picture Services is not
available for some users, including Mac users or those members using the
Netscape browser. If you are unable to use the full-featured version,
using this link will not change your preferences.

To use the full featured eBay Picture Services, click on the "Add
Pictures" box, which will bring up your browser's Find feature. Scroll
through until you find the image file that you want to use and then
double click on that file name to move it to that box. If you only want
a single picture, move on to fill out the remainder of the page and
click on the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page.

To upload multiple pictures, hold down the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard
while left-clicking all the files you want to upload. Then click "Open"
to upload all the pictures.

If you continue to have trouble, these kinds of technical issues require
a "process of elimination" strategy to find the root cause, so, in an
effort to begin this process, we need you to answer a few key questions:

- What is happening when you try to use eBay Picture Services? Please be
exact in explaining the steps you take to get the error, starting from
the time you click on to page three of the "Sell Your Item" form
(Pictures & Details). This is so that we can try to reproduce the error
on our end. The more details you can provide the better.

- On which site are you trying to list (i.e., eBay US, eBay Motors, eBay
UK, etc.)?

- Do you see any error messages or error numbers? If so, what do they
say?

- Are you using a listing tool such as Listing Designer, Turbo Lister,
or Seller's Assistant?

- What operating system are you using (i.e., Windows 98, Mac OS8, etc.)?

- How do you connect to the Internet (i.e., Dial-up, Cable, DSL, other)?
Within your Internet Service Provider, are you using an accelerator to
increase your speed?

- What type of browser and which version of the browser do you use
(i.e., Internet Explorer 5.5, Netscape 6.0, etc.)? To get the version
number, just click on "Help," then on "About" in the menu bar of your
browser.

- Are you uploading images with eBay Picture Service or Picture Manager?

- If you are using eBay Picture Service, are you attempting to use the
Basic ("Browse..." Buttons) or Enhanced ("click here to select a
picture" w/Square Image Wells) version of eBay Picture Services?

- What is the pixel size of your image and the final file size of the
image?

- What format is your image (BMP, JPG, TIFF, etc.)?

- Is there any additional software that you are running such as a
firewall, pop-up stopper or ad-blocking program, antivirus software,
etc.?

Once we receive this additional information from you, I will be happy to
pass it on to our technical department, who will review it and respond
to you.

We are committed to your online trading safety and success.

Regards,
