I have been an eBay member since 2000 and have been "stiffed" for non-receipt of purchases only five times. Some of those purchases have been in the $100 range. These purchases were made early on before eBay and PayPal guaranteed receipt of purchased items. Some purchasers did not accept PayPal payments. I contacted sellers who all claimed that items had been shipped. I never received them. Is there any way that I may now obtain reimbursement for these purchases?

How long ago were these purchases in question made? If it's past the 45 day mark, you won't have any Paypal coverage.

paypal only covers transaction where payment was made using paypal and you only have a maximum of 45 days to open a dispute.

After the 45 day deadline, you can go to the credit card you actually paid with (using PP as a mediator) and ask about a chargeback.
There will be a 1-800 customer service number on the card or your monthly bill.
But cards also have deadlines. The longest are still only about 120 days and most are about 60.
Are you asking about refunds on transaction over a decade ago?

Thanks for your reply. Earliest purchase was in 2007. PayPal did not guarantee receipt of items at this time.

Hello 'voybar',
<<Is there any way that I may now obtain reimbursement for these purchases? ... Earliest purchase was in 2007.>>
So you're wondering if you can get money back on transactions that are up to 7 years old?
No. You can't.
Sorry.
One of the chief reasons for the implementation of buyer protection was that far too many thieves
masquerading as sellers would claim to have mailed an item and keep the money. Nothing you
could do about it. (haha, unless you were close by and knew where they lived).
Even now, whilst ebay offers that protection, they're not particularly loud about it, not the way
they continue to create flashy screaming boxes and buttons to get us to buy buy buy.
That 'buyer protection' is just about the best kept secret around. Sure, the info is there, but a
buyer has to know where and how to look.
Not like that huge hidious blue 'create a collection' box that will not go away.
Now I know you've already seen this link that tells you about how to get money back:
http://pages.ebay.ca/help/buy/item-not-received.html
Notice under Timelines it says:
"You must open a case within 45 days of the end of the listing". That's 45 days, not 7 years.
At this point, all you can do is consider yourself older and wiser and never let it happen to you again.
All the best.

Okay, thanks for that. I guess that I'll just have to chaulk it up to (a bad) experience...but, I ain't happy about being "stiffed".
