I just had a shipped package come back to me. The sticker on it said that it was not deliverable as addressed. I also had to pay $10.70 to get it out from the Post Office.
I checked it and the address is the same as the paypal addresss. I used paypal shipping.
I'm waiting to hear back from the buyer.
What is the correct protocal? If she has her address wrong on paypal do I ask her to pay the $10.70?
Actually, I can't believe I haven't heard from her. This was sent May 27.
Thanks,
Shari

This happened to me once. Supposedly the address was fine. I'm not sure why it came back. I ended up sending it out again to another address (which makes me wonder, did they really give me the WRONG address in the first place?). Yes, I paid for the return out of my pocket, and yes I paid to send the parcel back out. Don't know if I technically should have, as I was obviously out a lot of money. But, I didn't have a policy stated for this instance, and I figured it was my responsibility to get the parcel to the buyer.
It has only happened once luckily, so I figured it was just an expense I had to eat up.
Good luck with that- I'm curious to know what you come up with as a solution!

I have had a couple of items returned, but I have never paid to get it back. And I have never paid to resent the parcel either. Lore:-)

I checked it and the address is the same as the paypal addresss. I used paypal shipping.
I had one returned to me not too long ago. When I contacted the buyer she said that she hadn't had that address in five years. She had changed it on eBay and PayPal when she moved and had been buying on eBay for five years afterward with no problems. For some reason the old address showed up in both PayPal and My eBay. That happened twice in one month with two different buyers. Apparently it is an old glitch that eBay has had in the past.
I did not have to pay for the item to be returned to me but I did have to eat the shipping cost of shipping it the second time.

I had the same thing happen a couple of months ago. It also came back undeliverable. I had to pay $.13 to get it back. The clerk said the correct postage was supposed to be $1.15, I pointed out I had 3 x $.52 stamps on it and that was more than enough. She apolozied and said she ws just looking at the form and not what I actually paid. I contacted the buyer and apologized saying I would resend and credit her the amt she paid. She told me that her PO had send a delivery card stating she owed $17.00 so she ignored it.
I had another again a few months ago came back undeliverable. I contacted the buyer and informed and she verified her address and requested I send it again. Which I did at my expense approximately $8.00. When she received it she gave me 14 neutral f/b. Saying she did so because it took so long to receive. I was so upset I gave her 14 neg's and she couldn't understand why I would do that.
So make sure your buyer understands this wasn't your fault and that you would be happy to resend if she doesn't give you negs or neutrals for receiving her parcel so late.

Faerywishes:
I noticed you were very quick to give buyers a neg when they only gave you a neutral. I only gave a neg to a buyer when they did not pay and that was only after a couple of months.
No wonder Ebay was saying Sellers were abusing it, I am sorry but in those cases in my OPINION that was abuse. I would have asked for a mutual withdrawl, only after explaining to the customer of what happened. But to neg a buyer for their opinion, was not a good thing.
Sorry that is my opinion.
