Sellers currently selling Swarovski items will not come here to help you compete with them.
Take a look at what is currently bring offered on eBay:
Over 300,000 "swarovski" on eBay.ca = plenty of competition.
Do you have a source of supply that will allow you to compete effectively with sellers already established

Source of supply means either you can do high volume with low markup selling several pieces a day, or, low volume with a high markup and sell one or two a day.
All of my inventory, car parts, I purchased at 7¢ on my retail dollar.
The only way to find out is to start. Start trying to sell. Either it works or it does not. I have a direct competitor, who copies me. I sell in one day what she sells in 15 days.

You will notice that much of the low end "Swarovski" is obviously misdescribed or counterfeit. While attempts are made to police the site-- and in my opinion eBay is a LOT better about this than most other sites- you will be competing with the ignorant and the criminal.
There is a benefit in dealing in the high priced stuff. Less competition, more knowledgable buyers, and people who are easier to deal with than bottom feeders make high value products a good way to go.

I recommend putting genuine or something of the sort when listing them. All depends on what you're selling. I buy Swarovski crystal items, but I am turned off by some items that are listed as Swarovski. Swarovski is of great quality, and the crystal is beautiful. What type of Swarovski items are you wanting to sell? Figurines or window hangings? Some are high value, some are lower value.

Goodluck making money here. I wonder how many you will sell before one of the buyers on this site tells you it arrived broken!

In your six years selling thousands of items on eBay, how often did you have a buyer file such claim?

There is so much Swarovski that the name has lost its power.
When Swarovski Crystal figurines were first released I bought them up and packed them away.
Every year I'd buy multiple annuals starting with the Lovebirds but I also bought retired pieces and some current items as well.
I had a world class collection at one time.
Then came the jewelry and it was beautiful............. but SO MUCH OF IT!
I sold all my Swarovski off a long time ago and I'm so glad I did.
What started with the Love Birds and a HOT collector's market went crazy with too many releases.
The Lovebirds are selling for about the same $$$ as 20 years ago or less.
Can money still be made selling Swarovski?

Money can be made selling anything. The key is yer input costs. This is why I say you cannot buy to sell, you acquire.

Hello,
I started selling Swarovski Crystal and Swarovski jewelry in Oct. 2004. Not chandelier pieces or fake jewelry that just sparkled but the real stuff bearing the Swarovski Logos. In my second year I sold $164,000, plus shipping. I had several Limited Editions that sold without any problem plus all the Annual Membership pieces. The jewelry I had were very high end, no longer available in stores but brand new from old stock. They sold very well. Pins were a hot item.
About 4 years ago the Crystal started to decline drastically in value. I stopped buying. I am down to 127 listings, about $28,000 right now, mostly small pieces and have sold less than $1,000 in the past 90 days. If and when they sell, I won't be realizing a profit.
I have 403 different pieces of Swarovski Jewelry listed, approx. $45,000 worth. Few expensive pieces but most of them are more affordable. I sold 29 pieces for $1,800 in the past 90 days. They just sit, without much activity. No watchers, very few lookers.
I noticed the decline when Swarovski started to make their jewelry in Thailand. The quality is very poor. I have not added to my inventory in the past 3 years.
Am I saying you won't do well? NO!!! I am not saying that. I am just telling you how its going for me. That does not mean you won't do well. It all depends on what you have. Don't hesitate to give it a try, just don't buy more inventory than you can afford to keep.
Good Luck!!

It happens and when it does its a huge loss for the seller because Canada Post will not insure glass against damage.
Swarovski uses a special glue that does not turn yellow and over the years it will dry out (especially if piece is stored in its box).
Just the light shaking in transit is enough to make pieces fall off (ears, horns, petals, etc). If it gets tossed around in the box, then it will damage other parts of the item. It occurs mostly when shipping in hot weather and with older pieces.
There are also people who have a damaged piece and want to "exchange" for a perfect piece.
I only had one piece come back that was broken, and the box was not damaged. It was a Large Grape in a foam lined Swarovski box. The foam was cut to fit around the grapes.
It was perfect when I sent it. When it came back, several of the "grapes" were off the stem, they were severly chipped and the largest gold leaf was broken in half. Obviously, someone had dropped it on the floor. It cost me $1,000. Devastating.

gifts.......... I found that an interesting read.
I was right on board with Swarovski in 1987 as soon as I saw the Love Birds (the first annual).
By the time the Woodpeckers were released 1988 I had multiple memberships.
I believe those pieces sold for $333 and within a year they were at $1,200 so it seemed like it would keep going.
There was some truly unattractive pieces sky rocketing simply because the collectors went crazy.
THEN .......... after about 6 years.......... they introduced colored crystal and jewelry and the collector's market fell apart.
The older plain pieces just looked bland by comparison.
I sold just when the colored pieces were produced and my timing was right on the money.
I did VERY well with those items.
Now, the Swarovski still has meaning but not like it did in the early days.............. still very pretty items though.
Good to see your sales are coming back......... that will roll off in no time.

Beanie Babies.
If you love it, buy it and enjoy it. But if your hobby is collecting it, then never expect to make a profit on it.
It is and will remain a hobby.
The profit is in the joy it brings you.

I will never understand collecting, but I do understand collectors. Man, are they WONKY!
My goal in life is to have nothing but the necessities................. really nice ones but no more than I use/need.
The more you have, the more you have to take care of............ and what is the point of that?
Getting a little too deep for an eBay discussion board, I know ................... and the last thing I want to do is to discourage that behavior.
Keep on Collecting!

I never bought anything for the sake of collecting, I always bought because I liked something and enjoyed its beauty.

You are right, but none of us really live with the bare necessities. I doubt if you do. 🙂
