Hello everyone, I had this newbie with 0 feedback bid and win a bikini.10 days later no response from her so I file a dispute and leave negative. This morning I get a payment from paypal from her. I already relisted the suit. I feel like giving her a refund and don't bother with her at all.She is already on my blocked list. She never told me why she never responded, just payment and nothing else! What should I do?

refund her. if you open it up to her, you risk exposing yourself to other problems, in my opinion. explain to her what happened and WHY. maybe she'll learn to communicate better on her next ebay purchase..

Take the money and ship. Why else are you on eBay if not to sell stuff?

I would think that she'll neg you if you don't send her the suit. After all she did end up paying. If you have another suit of the same size and style I'd send it to her. If not then I would email her explaining the situation and tell her if it doesn't sell on the new auction that you listed you'll send it to her and if it does sell you'll refund her.
Not all newbie's are out ruin our lives. Most of them just don't know how ebay works no matter how much we explain what we want in our listings. I know that some sellers don't like dealing with newbie's or would just refuse to deal with them but I look at newbie's as buyers just as equally as someone with a 500 positive FB. Weren't we all newbie's once upon a time?
Like zarzuella said, This is why we're on ebay, to sell stuff....not all sales are going to be perfect.
Bottom line......she did end up paying.

The way to avoid a neg in this situation is to ship her item and send her a nice email offering to mutually withdraw your neg to her. Once she agrees to a mutual withdrawal, she cannot leave any feedback.

You are not going to be able to 'teach her a lesson' - after all, if her parents couldn't manage it, and her teachers couldn't manage it ....

Look for the best way out of the situation for you.

I just noticed in your post that you already left her a neg. Under those circumstances she'll probably leave you a neg. If she does possibly with a good explanation to the reasons you left her the neg you'll be able to mutually withdraw FB's.
In my opinion 10 days is a little quick to neg someone.

alero0, I accept all newbies. 0 feedback or 5 it does not matter to me. What I can't accept is people who bid and win and never send an email telling me they are unable to pay within the 7 day period I give. I have lots of clients that send me an email and I don't mind I wait but when there is no response within 10 or 12 days I run out of patience. I sent her numerous emails and no response.
This morning I refunded her and she finally found her email and apologized and wants the swimsuit. Said she was out of town which I understand but she should have let me know if she won that she would be away like many of my clients do and I understand. The day she bid she could have told me and saved her self and me the headache.

The only excuses I have received so far for people not paying quickly are "I was out of town" and "I was very sick and/or in the hospital". Although I like to believe them it seems like a lot of people are in those situations considering the length of time I have been selling on eBay.

Yes, I too once hit the bid button on Ebay, only to have my roof cave in, my car crash in a swamp, both legs amputated above the waist, the flu, a sick mother, civil war, plagues of locusts in my back yard, an attack of the killer frogs, an alien invasion, constipation, picking up my order of Canada medal in Ottawa, bad cheese in a restaurant, flatulence, street closures etc etc etc occur shortly after. Its a scary world out there, especially when you owe someone money eh??

Did she respond to your dispute before you closed it to get your FVF back? If not, any feedback she leaves you will not count towards your score, good, bad or otherwise.

If that's the case, and you have an identical item, send it and keep the money. Frankly, I would have sent the item and kept the money under either circumstance. I have this same scenario happen all the time and have never been nailed with a neg, or have been "exposed to other problems".

I refunded her and that's when she responded after I opened a dispute. She emails me and asks me to remove the stike and says paypal is refusing to let her pay... ya right.Haven't heard from her since. I think she wanted the bikini and wanted to neg me.I'm glad I refunded her! She is nothing but trouble.
So if she leaves feedback now it will not count?

If she did not respond to you through the dispute console, and you closed the dispute after 7 days and received your FVF back then any feedback she leaves will have its score removed from your total. Any comment left will remain but the positive or negative score will not be reflected in your overall total.

What makes you think she wanted to neg you after receiving the bikini? Did she make any kind of subtle threat or hint that she wanted to?
