When you list an item there is a box to check to add a counter to your listings..
FYI don't bother with it .... Watchers are for the most part not buyers .. Example I have 33 people watching 1 title in my store yet I haven't sold a copy in 2 months...
View a guess it is good to see if yur getting traffic but again doesn't mean it is a potential buyer.
I used to pay attention to these numbers alot and then realized all it is doing is driving me crazy

On the Sell Your Item Form >add a description> Visitor Counter
Be aware that Watchers bear no relationship to Buyers.

eBay actually automatically tracks these for you under "My eBay" > "Selling". Each item listed will show how many visits it has had and how many being are watching the item. As mentioned already, these numbers won't really give you much insight into your item, except for the fact that maybe you're using good keywords in your item title
