Add note feature doesn't save

Whenever I purchase an item, I add a note when I receive it, along with with any other pertinent information about the item.  UP to about a year ago, these notes were always saved (Add a note - next to item description under purchase history) but now they never save and the information I am recording is lost every time.  Is there some way eBay can fix this?  It worked beautifully up to about a year ago.   Has anybody else had issues using this feature?

I have a similar problem as a seller.

We can add notes to our listings, which remain if they are unsold and go to our Unsold Lists.

But if we either Relist or Sell Similar from the Unsold, the earlier notes disappear.
