HELP- I was sent an invalid return label and the Call centre is siding with the seller

Someone at eBay (not the call centre) please take a look at my case.  The seller sold me a fake accessory that he labelled was from 1988.  I asked to return. He said no. It has gone to case. He attached a fake label to the case.  This label is from a pre purchased box from Canada Post.  I actually printed it and brought it to Canada Post to see if I could use it.  They said no because the box must be with it.  I called and the call centre said; no problem we will send you a new label and instead they sent us the exact same fake label.  Had to go to a supervisor. We got the case on hold for about a minute, and now the case says that we need to enter the tracking number or else we will lose the case.  We want to ship it back, but can't because there is no valid label.  Can someone please look into this for me?  It was a for a Hacksaw Jim Duggan with the 2X4.

Label was not accepted at the post office. They could not scan it and therefore would not take it.  This is not an accceptable solution to this issue.  To get this resolved I had to call everyday and eventually was forwarded to a supervisor who understood this was not a real label and the case was closed in my favour.

no, the item was not the standard 2cm that is required to go into a mailbox.

The post office could not scan it because it was invalid, therefore would not accept it.

Glad to hear this has been resolved.

I’m amazed at how the solution seems to always be escalate through social media instead of using the resources that they have. After reading so many community posts looking for similar issues I wonder; is there a petition to remove the call centre?

Not only are the 'social media' reps actual trained eBay employees, but the member gets a transcript, so the rep cannot make up policy to have the member end the call.

EBay denies that the phone call centre reps are sub-contractors. But I have my doubts, especially when we get an overseas rep. They may know the job as well as the Americans, and their accents are better, but they are still working with a 'calls per hour' quota.
