I am unable to contact ebay about items not received.

I ordered three items from a seller from UK on 18 Oct 2021, to be shipped to Canada, the estimated delivery dates were 18 Oct-25 Jan2022.  Not received.  I contacted the seller a few days ago, they are willing to refund but say the order is too old to go through the normal process and to open a case through ebay and then seller will refund.  I have been trying to do that but ebay is not showing this order for me to select and open a case.  I have tried to open a chat and a phone call with ebay for help, but I need to put an order number on the screen before they will initiate this and since they don't recognize the order number, they won't open up a chat or call.   I can't find any other method to contact ebay for assistance, either in getting a refund or just being able to open a case with them.  Would appreciate any help on this, the refund amount is more than I am willing to forego.  Thanks

EBay purges records after 90 days.

 

How did you pay?

If you used Paypal you should be able to open a claim with them. You have 180 days fromPayment for this.

If you did not use PP, but purchased directly with a credit card, you can make a chargeback request. Card policies differ but most allow 180 days. Not all, but most.
