As a collector I have enjoyed the 20 plus years spent searching and selling, purchasing on eBay but after multiple glitches while trying to buy items it's time to call it quits.
Lately, I have even had issues with buy it now items. An object came up that I had been looking for and I used a gift card to "buy it now"
After completing the purchase I received an email 1/2 hour later stating payment did NOT go through, and to repay immediately or seller could cancel the sale....BUT the money I had sent for payment has disappeared and not refunded.....soooo after searching for answers I was told the gift card money is being held for 3 to 5 days?
now I have to ask seller to wait as much as up to 5 days for payment.
My problem is I paid outright for the gift card and it belongs to me...I don't give a **bleep** what eBay says about how it works when a payment doesn't go through, because in the end, it's my money not theirs to hold...after quite a few issues bidding and buy it now...and unlike every other business in the world...the only compensation they have offered is a "THANKS FOR BEING SUCH A GREAT AND LOYAL CUSTOMER, we are sorry you had to go through this...so good bye
