I won a pair of pants that were listed as a regular women size. I received the pants and they are clearly children's. I want my money back but do not trust the seller. I have been burned so many times on ebay. How do I protect myself from crooks?

First you must contact the seller and explain the problem
Then follow eBay's instructions
If you do not follow the procedure exactly as described by eBay, you are at risk of having your claim denied.
It has nothing to do with protecting yourself from "crooks". Did you think the seller was a "crook" when you purchased the item? Did the seller's feedback at the time indicated potential problems?

Without second guessing, you should be aware that sizing is not particularly useful in deciding if a particular women's garment is going to fit.
Actual size depends on the place of manufacture, the price of the garment, and the manufacturer.
The higher the retail price of the garment , the larger it will be cut. A $599 dress in Size zero would be a Size 6 or larger if it were priced to sell at $49.99.
And a Chinese made XXL is around a Size 6 too.
If the garment that interests you does not have actual measurements, ask the seller BEFORE bidding.

Calling the seller a crook is a little excessive, don't cha think? Maybe just a misunderstanding?
If you want to protect yourself against these so called crooks, check their feedback before buying. That way you'll know if they are being a crook to others before you.

Yes, if your are unsure of the size, message the buyer, they will usually gladly provide you with the measurements.
I include the measurements in my descriptions. If they still ask, even though the measurements are clearly stated, i still provide them with want they are requesting.
Takes less than a minute.
