Parcels from china arrive well outside the time allowed to claim under the guarantee

I have 6 outstanding parcels from China and Hong Kong that have not arrived within the guaranteed window. However this time is not realistic given the information I received from Canada Post and my previous experiences. How do we get Ebay to change this to a realistic time frame given the actual delivery dates we are experiencing in Canada?

Since Raphael left, we don't have a champion here in Canada.

Our only measure is to mark that last estimated date on our calendars, then add the 30 day limit for Item Not Received Disputes.

File the INR before the deadline and get your refund.

If the item shows up later, you can still return the refund using Paypal's Send Money service.

More usefully,  don't pay for items that have extended delivery periods.

Chinese sellers are notorious for using slooooow cheap Surface shipping. And it doesn't help that China Post has been taking advantage of Western postal systems by undercharging their customers, and through the Universal Postal Union, pushing the costs of delivery on to Canada Post, USPS, Royal Mail, Deutscheposte, etc.

The Western postal systems seem to have become disgruntled and do not put any priority on delivering that "underpaid" mail from China.

If the purchase never shows up*, and you miss the eBay deadline, you can still get a refund for 180 days after purchase from Paypal.

* A not uncommon scam. Nothing is ever sent, the unhappy buyer is sloughed off with sweet words and promises of a replacement until the deadline passes, then silence.
