Return from checkout page to shopping cart

As a Canadian buyer, if I am interested in an item (few hundreds $$$) from an American seller (eBay International Shipping)

if I place this item in my shopping cart, and I go to checkout page to review all the shipping options, taxes and customs fees!

So if I'm not satisfied with these options, can I go back to the shopping cart and remove the item afterwards?

Or am I committed to completing this purchase in checkout page?

Yes you can go back to the cart and remove the item from your cart.
