Seller has canceled numerous bids

Does anyone know how many bids a seller can cancel before eBay does something about it? There is one particular seller that has canceled bids on every item that I have bid on stating item is no longer available. This has become so annoying I intend to bid on their items until eBay takes notice and heavily penalizes them. The worst that can happen for me is that I will actually get to buy something I want. The cancellation count to this point is well over 30 from one seller alone. Of course these items are usually relisted within 24 hours or less, so I can bid on them again and again and again. Is anyone else experiencing this much dishonesty from one seller that blatantly continues to be allowed to carry on this practice? If I can publish the sellers name let me know. I will gladly do so.

are they cancelling just your bids, or others bids from potential buyers as well..

If they are just cancelling you bids, perhaps the seller has an issue with you. Perhaps you could send them a message, asking why, they are cancelling your bids.  Maybe the seller isn't getting enough bids on their items, and is cancelling bids to try again for more, and higher bids?

Seller has canceled numerous bids

Good, question. As far as I can tell they are canceling all bids on the item. I did contact them once but the reply was just some boilerplate gibberish about shipping my item when they come back from Holliday. (Apparently not on Holliday if they are available to cancel bids and re list the same items the next day) As far as not receiving enough bids or getting the price they are hoping for, that is on them to set a starting price that will satisfy their needs. I can’t see how someone can do business this way. As a buyer my responsibility to myself is to get the best price possible.

We are talking about bids on Auctions and not purchases on Fixed Price listings or Auctions you have won?

Sellers are allowed to cancel any bids and/or to Block any member without giving a reason. It's usually a Seller Protection.

It sounds as if this seller does not know how to set up a Block which would refuse the bid/purchase automatically.

Is this a new seller? If not he's really not very good at his job, is he?

If you are actually winning Auctions or purchasing Fixed Price/Buy It Now listings, and the seller is cancelling them he has limited reasons allowed.

If he is cancelling as Buyer Request, you can phone customer service and let them know that you did not request a cancellation.

He would then be getting a Defect for the cancellation, which can mean higher fees, restrictions on the number and value of his listings, or even having his selling account closed.

If he is using Problem with Address, because he doesn't want non-US buyers (he's in the US, isn't he?)  he could set up his Shipping requirements so that non-US members never even see his listings. Again, not good at his job.

But we are talking about cancelling purchases or won Auctions, right?

If he is cancelling using Not Available, he is getting the Defect mentioned above. EBay takes Defects very seriously.

He won't be selling long if he continues with this.

I agree that you should contact him and ask him what the problem is. You may have to show him how to set up his listings so he does not endanger his account by cancelling purchases.
