eBay app is not compatible with this iPad

iPad ebay app no longer works and can’t be downloaded from Apple store. I can’t access the site through the browser either. Why? Does eBay forget that this is not an operating system app? When is eBay going to send me my 2020 iPad Pro so I can be up to date on technology? Since we are at it, send me a 2021 car as I want to be up to date on all technology. Remember, it is 2020 and after COVID19, a lot of people lost jobs and revenues and you are forcing them to by new technology to access your site. I presume business is great for eBay and you can filter out the people with older tech gadgets, but remember, there are plenty of sites looking for business, the business you are filtering out. For years, eBay has been my primary site for shopping, but I’ll be going to the competitor sites and I am sure a lot of shoppers are going to do the same.

Which browser are you attempting to use?

Hi @zefers - we do retire versions of the app from time to time. This is done in an effort to minimize potential security issues as older operating systems age and no longer receive support from their creators. 

If your iPad is able to run iOS 11 or later you should be able to download the app again. Otherwise using a Safari browser and choosing the 'Classic site' link at the bottom of the eBay home page will allow you to get most functionality you're used to seeing in the app.

Thanks for reaching out Tyler. In today’s context as you are aware it is not viable for a lot of users to purchase new up to date devices as it is a big investment for some.
As for my problem, I can access the app on my phone, iOS 11+ (but it is small for long searches) and on my home computer (after 8 hours in front of a computer it is like work again).
I was unable to log in to the eBay community on safari, which I found rather odd and yes I can log to eBay on safari, except that the functionality is not as the app. Improve security is understandable, making the app unusable for older systems is not really an option.

I've used the classic version on my Ipad with Safari and haven't had any problems so I'm surprised that you can't access ebay and the boards through that. Perhaps try uploading a different browser?

There is error with current app. It says it is compatible with iOS 11 and greater. It is not. Only compatible with iOS 13 and greater. This needs to be rectified so I can get 9.6.9 for my iOS 12.5.4.
