Nice to "see" everyone. I was just thinking of a favourite prayer that I should pay more attention to.

"Oh Lord, keep my words soft and sweet for I may have to eat them".

Anyone else have favourite prayers--whether you need to pay more attention to or not?

Love the picture MLM--one of my favourite passages too--though that one two is one I need to pay more attention to. He is there, I don't need to fear.

What's wrong with this picture?

If you look closely at the picture above, you will note that all the Marines pictured are bowing their heads. That's because they're praying. This incident took place at a recent ceremony honoring the birthday of the corps, and it has the ACLU up in arms. "These are federal employees," says Lucius Traveler, a spokesman for the ACLU, "on federal property and on federal time. For them to pray is clearly an establishment of religion, and we must nip this in the bud immediately."
When asked about the ACLU's charges, Colonel Jack Fessender, speaking for the Commandant of the Corps said (cleaned up a bit), "Screw the ACLU." GOD Bless Our Warriors, Send the ACLU to France.

It's one of my favourites, too. "I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me." Hallelujah!

I've been reading my new Max Lucado book (Hubs gave it to me for Christmas :-x) called "Facing Your Giants: The God Who Made a Miracle Out of David Stands Ready to Make One Out of You". Oh, what a wonderful book!

I love how Max puts things into today's perspective: David, though small and flawed, had no fear for he knew God was with him. I'm only on the fourth chapter, but I already feel empowered. :)
