Just got another update on my niece. It was a labrador that bit her, got her on the shoulder. She had a freak out episode today, apparently related to the incident. Public Health was called immediately and they are the ones who took the dog.

Just wanted to express my gratitude to all those that e-mailed me & prayed for me over the last 4-5 days because I started feeling much better yesterday and today I'm just ecstatic! I haven't even been to bed all night and I don't feel I need to just now. In spite of my arthritis, I felt moved to get up in the kitchen and dance a few minutes ago to "The Twist" by Chubby Checker.
My hubby found out he was getting a sizeable income tax refund so he took me out last night and bought me a whole bunch of new clothes. This is, in itself, a miracle as this man just hates to shop. Normally, I can't find very many clothes that fit me well but I really hit the jackpot this time (and they were all on sale too). Whooohoooo!
On Sunday, I'll be having lunch with an old childhood friend that I haven't seen since she was 16 years old. She's driving in from the States to visit her Mom in a nursing home here in Ottawa and I'll be going with her there as well. Yesterday, 2 of my cousins that I haven't heard from in years called me too and we have a nice, long chat & caught up on the news. We're planning to get together some time this spring or summer.
I'm getting inspired again to write some more song lyrics and I'm starting to make some interesting contacts in the music business. Things just couldn't get better unless I won the lottery (LOL).

Thank you and yes, I had a wonderful time and it was lovely to go with her to visit her Mom in the nursing home. On Tuesday, I go to visit another childhood friend who lives across town from me I'll be bringing her birthday gift over to her -- another fun day! :-D
