MLM--Yikes! on the no email. Check your junk mail will you? I was having trouble with Yahoo--couldn't make a copy for myself so I may have gone back to Hotmail to send it. Sigh--it was another book. When I hit "send" on whichever address it took a long, long time to go, but it did give me a "sent". I am now going to try on Hotmail.

I am not sure it was anyone on the thread--last time everyone was being slapped silly I really thought it was someone just trying to cause more trouble amongst we-who-frequently-disagree-with-each-other.

Hi Tom and Andrew! Very nice to "see" both of you.

I did get out and enjoy the day--I love to garage sale. Today I found a bunch of Wodehouse books which I will send to my BIL--we both love Wodehouse and in the 70s used to send them to each other but as each of us have moved many times, we just don't do that as much anymore, a set of "the Cat Who" books for a friend who loves them, a bowling game from DGS, a cruet set made in England for my DSis-I have been looking for 2 years, and this one is lovely cut glass, a stainless steel cutting board for steaks/roast beef with those drainage things the juice drains into for DH, and a beautiful copper saute pan from France for myself. DH and I had fun.

Andrew, what a beautiful area you live in. I hope you are able to enjoy it to the fullest.

I spent a quiet morning at work (although things definitely got hairy in the afternoon) doing a bit of reading between things on my 'do list' and I came across quite the profound statement....

and a most interesting article by the Cherokee nation (on their history). I was most impressed that their concept of the Creator - or God was a Trinity prior to the coming of the white man. Will have to do some more reading on this.

Julie--have a wonderful time tomorrow watching your DD graduate--enjoy! I know you will be bursting with deserved pride.

James graduated (!) (only requirement is that you show up, and your parents pay) from his first year of preschool--he was not impressed. When he received his diploma (!) he crumpled it up in a ball and threw it on the floor. We are not sure what bug he had up his nose, but I am thinking he stood in line and thought there was something "good" being handed out like candy and found out it was paper and was not pleased.

I know I am not supposed to laugh, but it is hard to keep a straight face sometimes. He had a piece of purple chalk, and I guess didn't see any paper so he just drew on his brother's bald head.

Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow--and hope I don't end up talking to myself again.

Nikki....I am laughing about James...what a hoot! Hope you got pics of the wee one's purple head! :^O

Just got home from Grad....oh my, it was 95 degrees in that auditorium and no fans! My clothes are dripping wet from sweat. Poor grads in the gowns must've been roasting!

DD18 received her diploma in fine style...had the loudest applause as she was the recipient of the most monetary scholarships ($14K in all). I cried buckets and DD7 threw up from the heat, so it was a memorable night...hehehe

Julie, she looked gorgeous (also great shoes!). You must be such a proud Mama--especially knowing she had such obstacles to overcome. As for DD7s distress, what is a big family occasion without someone vomiting, and someone crying?
