(((TOB))) prayers for your warrior Mom. I am on Vancouver Island, in Victoria. Is there anything you know that I could do for your sister and your Mom? I just hope that she knows this is the stomach flu, and not the cancer that is making her feel this badly. She has been through so much and I know it is hard to keep fighting when you feel really badly. I remember nights that I couldn't even pray, and those were the nights I could feel the prayers of others lifting me up and keeping me through the night. You bet I am praying for your Mom now.

Please, please, please let me know what else I can do. I know the helpless feeling of a loved one being very sick, and very far away.

Sending you hugs & positive thoughts. It's so hard to bear the suffering of a loved one, especially when they have been through so much already. I'm praying that this illness will pass quickly and the your Mom will be able to regain her strength quickly.

How is your Mom feeling?

My mum is feeling somewhat better - my sisters and I have been keeping a running conversation on facebook and yesterday was a better day for her. My sister in BC in consultation with the drs thought it would be best for mum to return to her own home. The plane ride was only an hour, and so on Saturday afternoon mum flew home. She is still feeling rough but continues to improve.

I've just worked a weekend of nights (I'm getting waaaay too old for these) and haven't managed to phone. I'll do that tonight.

Good day to all,

T-O-B--so glad your Mom is feeling a bit better. It must have been very discouraging for her, and all of you, when she is such a fighter, and takes all these nasty treatments, then ends up feeling even worse because of a flu. Not fair!!! ((((Kim's Mom and family))))

Just home from a round of tests and x-rays for DH. We think it is a small hernia, but his doc just wants to eliminate a few possibilities. We were really lucky--no wait at x-ray and a short wait at the lab. Maybe it was the pouring rain--no one cared to get tested, but I am thankful.

Hi April!--Sometimes you have to look back to page 3 or 4 to find this thread. I think everyone is having a pretty busy summer.

Requesting much needed prayers for Nicki, her Mom, TOB and her Mom. All 4 need our prayers. Both of the Moms are in real battles against cancer and the treatments they have undergone and are receiving presently. Both of these wonderful daughters are fighting along side them.

Lurkers, your prayers are needed too.

So glad--when I don't see some of my favourite posters I fuss a little.

Offering up prayers of thanks. DS was on a flight from Boston to Chicago last night which I think normally is 2 hrs. It ended up being 12 and when they got to O'Hare the pilot had to abort the landing. DS said that people were screaming and crying. Thanks be to God, the plane landed safely and any injuries were minor.

Thanking God and praying for Nicki and TOB and their Moms.
