First storm of the season--we got outside and deck cleared up just in time. I love to hear the waves crashing. We are snug inside and I have a lovely roast beef ready to serve for dinner. Life is good.

The winds are howling here, a glass or two of red wine would be nice while watching the storm but I have to enjoy it vicariously now so I am very glad you are enjoying yours.

Top of the morn Bob! Was there a poof of another thread last nite - lot of email updates this morning but no thread. I went beddy too soon.

Good morning all from a stormy Vancouver Island. Lovely big waves rolling in. Just waiting for DSIL (so glad that DD married such a big guy) to help us haul the boat up and put it away for the season. Some years we don't have to do it until December. Even people who have lived on the beach over 20 years were caught flatfooted on this one. We have one neighbour who builds a Tiki bar each summer. It gets more elaborate each year. He uses beachcombed logs and boards and decorates it with other things from the beach. He flys flags from the supports. I just saw the bar chairs floating by. The flags are down, and I am hoping he had time to save those. The bar usually lasts until winter. I am really blessing our new windows. I am the stubborn one who refused to replace them when we renovated. We were watching every penny and I thought I was saving money. Glad I finally saw the light. We are now very snug in here and the furnace doesn't run 24/7.

Nice to see you Valve and all who come with love in their hearts.
