I am glad you are back Andrew,
I have been reading this thread whenever I get a moment,
hum....what was that in the bible about turning the other cheek??? or am I mistaken?
I enjoy everyone here on CTS and if someone is rude or mean to me, well to be honest I really could care less.....
I enjoy life to much to let anyones rudness or ignorance hurt me, I have seen far too many wonderful posters leave CTS because of someone else,
not me....
yes, I have alot of problems, heartache etc...just like anyone else
but in the end it comes down to if I really want to be here or not and enjoy the folks I have met here over the years,
far too many wonderful people here for me to ever want to leave,
I hope you feel the same way Andrew. :) Photobucket<

Good evening everyone, hope you have had a blessed Sunday.

Knots, I think I know what you meant about wanting this thread on page one because of Christmas coming, it is Advent, and as Christians wait, it is especially nice to speak to others.

Andrew--I was so glad to read your post.

Dave--I listened to his sermon on Thirsting for God, and when he said, "God meets us where we ARE, not where... we should be". It really made me smile. It is very hard for me to realize how patient and forgiving He is--but I am very thankful He is.

((((Christine)))) (Red Barn) What a very frightening thing for you to have gone through. You are in my prayers tonight.

((Andrew)), so good to see you 'back'. I may not have posted but I was saddened by your initial decision and I did pray. You always seem to know 'what' and 'when' to post, and you can tell you walk the walk by the way you post too. Thankyou. 🙂

I don't post often...but I do sit back and read and sometimes it takes great self control to keep my fingers still. I have enough going on in real life than to become annoyed by a chat board, and so I just let it go. I will have to answer to a higher power for the way I live my life, as we all will. Not typing is often the best for me ;-).

Christine, RedBarn....I've added you to my list. :-x

I'm trying to get some last minute details ready for the upcoming holiday season - we are headed west to spend Christmas with my sister and family (sorry Nikki, not that far west). This will be our first Christmas without Mum and so we need to be together. This is the first time in my 26 years at this job that I have a week off over the Christmas season. A coincidence? No - God knows our needs.:-)

Have a blessed week all!

Nikki: My Dad used to say goodnight by giving us a light smack on the bum, followed by "pleasant dreams" too!

I love a post that gives you a happy memory!

Little, fun contest. Winner gets a handmade bookmark made by Countrycharms!

Silent Night
Hark the Herald Angels Sing
We Three kings of Orient Are
Away in a Manger
The First Noel
Good King Wencelas (excuse the spelling)
Twas in the Moon of Wintertime
O Holy Night

Now, one of these hymns is actually a Boxing Day hymn while another is meant for Epiphany.

Which two are these and how can you tell which holy day they are meant for?

Good Luck; have some fun! Susan

Okay, I'll take a stab at this one:

Boxing Day: "Good King Wenceslas" This is a is a popular Christmas carol about a king who goes out to give alms to a poor peasant on the Feast of St. Stephen, which falls on December 26th.

We Three Kings of Orient Are:
According to the biblical story of the nativity, the three wisemen (or three kings) had to travel a long distance before reaching the place where Jesus was born. They followed a particularly bright star which appeared in the sky on the night of his birth. Therefore, most Christian congregations celebrate the feast of the Epiphany on January 6th, which is about 2 weeks after Jesus' birth.

Forgot to say thank you to the ladies for helping me with the baptism gifts. I did find a Christian store here in Brampton and got a book set and a gift certificate to get photos done. I think it's perfect; educational and memorable 🙂

Susan, I love trivia, but I have no idea! Very tricky...will wait for answers.

Yay !Ok - google again - I'm learning good stuff!
I knew one time what the 3 gifts symbolised, but I've forgotten!

Looking up the hymns made me put some Christmas music on the boombox - Roger Williams - all the old hymns I grew up with - Angels from the realms of glory - Mary's boy child etc. Next CD up - Boney M Christmas !
