Yes - forgiveness does not equal trust and does not equal continuing relationship.

Laurie that is so true. Sometimes a person has to 'protect' themselves from those that would eagerly harm them. Therefore 'trust' for those is lost and not easily gained again.

I just got through two days of reading criminal case law. ugh.. I read 295 cases. The Bible and your comments are sooooo much better reading!!!!

Too Blessed to be Stressed

Someone will always be smarter. Their house will be bigger. They will drive a better car. Their children will do better in school. And their partners will fix more things around the house. So let it go and love you and your circumstances. Think about it. The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart. And the most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children. The richest woman you know -- she's got the car, the house, the clothes -- might be heartbreakingly lonely.

What exactly is All Saints Day? What is it about? What's the history?

As far as I remember, it's a holy day to honour all of the saints/martyrs that don't have a special day dedicated to their memory on the calendar. I'm not sure if it's strictly a Catholic feast or if the Anglicans celebrate it too.

..... oh I forgot, it's also a day to say special prayers, light candles, etc. for all of your dearly departed family members and/or friends or remember them in some way that is meaningful to you such as a donation to charity in their name.

A few months ago, I posted on this forum asking for prayers for my little DD's best friend Nicole who had a heart condition.

Nicole died last night.

Please pray for the family.

Awwwww, what a shame to lose a little one at such a young age. I'm sure your daughter will be heartbroken to lose her friend. Will say a prayer for all of them.
