U.K. devoted and loving mother jailed for killing son, 7, over Koran study

A British judge has sentenced a “devoted and loving mother” to at least 17 years in prison for beating her son to death after he failed to memorize passages from the Koran.

Sara Ege was convicted last month of murdering 7-year-old Yaseen and burning his body to destroy the evidence.

Judge Wyn Willians said Ms. Ege beat Yaseen repeatedly over several months.

He said that on the day he died Yaseen had been kept home from school to memorize verses from the Muslim holy book, and that his failure “was the trigger for the beating” that killed him.

The judge accepted the defence's argument that India-born Ege was “a devoted and loving mother” who suffered from depression and domestic violence.

Still, he said Monday, she subjected her son to “prolonged cruelty.”

There is nothing in the Koran about beating or killing for not learning. This woman is a sick woman who killed her child as many Christians have done because they felt the child was possessed or they were told to by that....... 'god'.

Not Muslim hating - just a lack of understanding as to why things like this happen.  I have posted stuff about violence in the U.S. yet you don't call that Yankee hating.  It is just hard to understand and accept.  I worry that the culture south of the broder will somehow creep across and poison our less-than-prefect country.

She may have been sick at least according to her lawyer (who would never stretch the truth).  However, it doesn't seem that the judge bought the "sick" part of her defence.

A Sarnia pair facing first-degree murder charges appear to have been involved in a perverse online relationship that documents detailed accounts of rape and violence.

Two profiles that appear on the social networking site Fetlife ­contain graphic images of a man and woman who appear to be Tanya Bogdanovich, 31, and Michael MacGregor, 19 — both of whom have been charged with the first-degree murder of 27-year-old Sarnia schoolteacher Noelle Paquette.

The pair was arrested Thursday at London’s Lamplighter Inn. When contacted, a manager there said he had no comment about the arrests.

MacGregor was once a student at A.B. Lucas secondary school in London. His Facebook page was taken down Sunday.

The pair are to return to court Jan. 10.

Two separate Fetlife profiles include photos and ­discussions of the pair engaging in ­violent sex acts with each other and ­documenting their shared ­obsession with rape and torture.

“The rape and violence is so intense its exciting, thrilling, fulfilling,” reads a journal entry from the username Lana_Caine, described as a 31-year-old Sarnia woman, whose profile photo appears to match that of Bogdanovich.

Other photos featured on the profile show the woman bloodied, bruised, bound and blindfolded, alongside a young man that is believed to be MacGregor, under the username Sterling_Archer4.

The usernames match those of characters from the animated TV spy satire, Archer.

“I have always had this empty hollow feeling inside,” reads a post from the user, listed as a 19-year-old Sarnia man, with what appears to be a photo of MacGregor. “Not necessarily sad or depressed, just like a part of me is missing.”

The usernames are linked to a group called “Kinky Cougar Connection” and “Brother/Sister Love,” and refer to each other as “cub and “puma,” as well as “Little Brother” and “Big Sister.”

Both users list various forms of rape as their respective “fetishes,” and referred to each other as P.I.C., a common acronym for “Partner in Crime.”

Fetlife is described as a free social network for the bondage and discipline, sadism and masochism (BDSM) and fetish community.

The alarming profiles are garnering public comments from others who have linked the pair to the Sarnia murder.

“Both of them have just been accused of a woman’s murder in Sarnia.. so sad 😞 Disgusting,” wrote one user.

In one chilling post, Sterling_Archer4 responds to Lana_Caine’s ‘journal entry’ about rape, referencing a black unmarked rape van with tinted windows.

Bogdanovich’s Cobden St. home in Sarnia was cordoned off by police Thursday and the pair appeared separately in court the fnext morning.

Noelle Paquette went missing after leaving a New Year’s Eve party in Sarnia.

News of her disappearance sparked a massive search party Wednesday, before her body was discovered in a woodlot on Mandaumin Rd. around 10:30 a.m.

No because it’s general news and didn’t have anything to do with a religion. If someone was suddenly posting info about every thing that Christians did, it wouldn’t take a degree in nuclear science to figure out what was really going on.

As for the pair in Sarnia….well a lot of information has to come out on that sad situation. However when it comes to their ‘hobby’….a lot of people are into that in various degrees (whatever rows their boat)….but they don’t go out ‘hunting’ (although there have been a few exceptions). These two in Sarnia are not representative of those ‘interests”……they are instead psychopaths who were looking for some way to add to their fantasies and even anger. Sometimes as well you often find two people who alone are harmless but together they create a Jekyll and Hyde singular monster. My guess is one of them, either the 19 yr old or 31 yr old will plead some lesser form of Stockholm Syndrome complex.

anyone who is unwilling to accept the existence of a God who gave humans a blueprint for how to conduct their lives should not be suprised when people act like animals. 

When people become Gods (in their own minds), any action or sentiment is the final arbiter of what is right or wrong.  Secular Humanism at it's finest.  Anything goes, cause there are no absolutes.  Depersonalization and dehumanization are the new reality.  A Brave New World for sociopaths to run amok.

god (ahem) never gave anyone a blueprint for living their lives.

Read the bible…god instructs death for this and death for that and selling your daughters off to slavery and the list goes on and on and on. Not a blueprint I would admire.

Humans do not need a god for instruction on how to live. Most people who say they are ‘godly’ are pure hypocrites anyhow and never live what they preach. All humans need towards others and all living creatures is love and understanding and compassion. Then add on one more thing….’do unto others as you would have them do unto you’ pretty much sums it all up. (of course that doesn’t mean be a victim all ones life). Christianity claims the words as their own idea but like many things Christianity stole, the essence of these words are also one of them. It actually dates back to the ancient Babylon and China and Egypt and Greece just to name a few.

Those who condemn others for not believing in their god….are just hoping for another inquisition. It’s no wonder it was called the ‘dark’ ages.
