USPS has a money problem.  The Postal Service banned employees from working overtime and making extra trips to deliver mail

The new actions of the USPS at this time  will affect mail delivery more than before this change…. That was the  effect of COVID-19 before these recent changes.

And then… This will affect mail-in voting……  Some mail-in voting for primaries has already been affected… completed but affected

These changes are a major part of what USPS Postmaster General Louis DeJoy wants to see happen.

Analysts say the structure centralizes power around DeJoy, a former logistics executive and major ally of President Trump, and de-emphasizes decades of institutional postal knowledge.

We can all guess who … DOES NOT … like mail-in voting….

In addition, the deficit in USPS financing can be directly traced to the Republican insistence that pensions be prepaid up to 2056 (?) well past when the youngest employees would be collecting when the legislation was passed.
