eBay Live was great. The Post Master General, Jack Potter, and Meg Whitman, were on stage in front of 10,000 people just like they were rock stars. Really neat. Imagine the post office being like rock-n-roll (well I guess there was that Elvis stamp).

We heard from alot of Canadian sellers directly, as well as the experience of many US and international sellers.

The USPS has come a long way in better responding to the shipping needs of the eBay community and we are learning a lot from them. We loved the prepaid boxes, but as we said, we had those out in the late 90s and nobody bought them. Maybe we were out with them too soon (actually ahead of our time) and maybe the time to look at them again is now. We are looking into it. Of course their integrated shipping platform is really great. We launched a new ready access online shipping solution last week, called "Ship-in-a-click". It is geared to the general consumer market, but eBay sellers might like it just for its convenience. Take a look at www.canadapost.ca, personal, online tools, ship-in-a-click.

Magazines for sure cannot be shipped letterpost.

Photographs I will check, however paper content that has a dollar value can sent such as concert tickets and stamps. The online postal guide has been updated and it can be found on www.canadapost.ca under Online Tools

The USPS Postmaster General and Meg announced a few things during eBay LIVE!

He announced that in November 2005, USPS will be making international labels, postage and customs labels all available online right from each member's eBay account! In his words— "USPS and eBay both are making the world a smaller place!"

In addition, USPS recently introduced its eBay co-branded Priority Mail flat-rate boxes which can be ordered online by eBay sellers, free of charge.
