I just discovered this eBay web page of the story of eBay. It may be of interest to forum members here, especially since there is a Canadian connection to the first sale.

The second item in the web page above is a video of the first purchase on eBay.

Many eBay members know about how eBay was started and that the first item sold was a broken laser pointer. I came across this video on who bought the item and why. The buyer was Canadian and lives in BC!
