Not only am I finding that nothing sells on eBay like it used to but now the additional taxes will really kill any hopes of selling anything. I need a new place to sell, any ideas everyone?

The Canadian sales taxes will be collected from buyers by eBay.
You don't have to do anything about it.
All venues will be doing this if they have any sales at all.
Amazon has been collecting taxes from Canadian buyers for over a year.
You might try local online classifieds like Kijiji or Used.ca. but they are local, not world wide.

Time to get out of Ebay. Enough is enough.

Unless you sell on local classified sites and/or small no-traffic online selling sites, that taxation to buyers will apply. This is similar to the USA internet taxation and there will be no avoiding it, if selling on large online marketplace facilitators, as these sites will indeed also be required to process the sales taxes.
3 years ago USA sellers were in an uproar over their "internet taxation"...
Well, me thinks a high majority of those USA sellers have accepted, adapted, adjusted and are carrying on!
