On the positive side...

With eBay's increase in fees, restructuring of ad campaign fees, and now having the buyer pay Canadian taxes;  I am diversifying my selling venues and currently exploring three other services - two of them specialty. I will still sell on eBay because I have a store subscription for 10 more months, but am probably able to provide better value on other platforms. I'll crunch some numbers at the end of Q3 and see which platforms provide my customers the best value. 🙂

Re: On the positive side...

I have been selling on other platforms for 15 years...have never used only eBay...

However, you will find there is NO perfect selling platform...the larger selling platforms are very similar to eBay in the amount of fees and the smaller sites may have less fees but have little traffic...

Re: On the positive side...

AZ fees are higher (and they have been charging buyers sales taxes for over a year).

We used ZoS for stamp sales. You have to be a member of the American Philatelic Society to use it, and most sales are quite low end.

I doubt sales taxes will make much difference to buyers, but the high selling fees on Books means I have stopped buying for resale in that category.
