As the subject says, this is absolutely horrible.  From about every conceivable point of view.  Of course, all this means is me and people like me will not sell anything on eBay anymore.  I'm sure the big retailers still will, but small sellers.. nope.  Not worth it.  I'm out, guys.  Enjoy your circus.

You do realize that it's the buyers that are paying the sales tax(es) and not the sellers?  I've seen a few posts from sellers confused about this.

Also consider that our neighbours in the US are about two years ahead of us on this with their domestic sales subject to "internet sales tax."
