I just received three emails telling I had received 3, 4 and 5 year badges that I could view on my profile. Is this legit? I couldn't find anything like that on my profile. The link in the email looks okay but I'm not about to click on it.

You have been a member of the community for 5 years ...so why not embrace it?
BTW, I just received my 15 year anniversary badge...

They are referring to your community profile on the top right of community pages. It really doesn't mean anything.

As others have said these badges show on your profile here in the Community only (not seen on selling or other part of eBay). The only thing that sounds strange to me is that you would have "just" received emails saying you received 3, 4 and 5 year badges as emails should have been sent each year. Don't click on the link if you're not comfortable, but you can look at your profile here in the community. Just click your user name while on here and you'll see the info there as pj has said on the right.

As with many things on eBay, only a small portion of everything is in "real time". From getting paid to reversals and/or refunds, limited time offers, most stuff moves in eBay time. I've always referred to it as eBay tape delay. Those little kudo's are batch issued and why you saw several in a row. Not really suitable for framing, but you can if you so choose!!

Thanks everyone for the answers. I've since found the page of badges, etc.
The funny thing is I got 3-4-5 year recognition all at once today, but I've been an eBay.ca member for well over 20 years.... go figure.

These "anniversary badges" are not for the length of time as a member on eBay, but are "awarded" for the length of time you have been a member of the COMMUNITY FORUMS...but unless you visit the forums on a regular basis you may not be aware of their existence.

Is this the first time you've logged into the forums in 3 years? Maybe the site only checks for community participation when someone logs in.

The badges started in 2018 so I got a notice in 2018 that I received 10 badges, year 1 - 10. I didn't get more until 2022 when they spent me the year 15 badge.
Some of us have been on the forums longer than 15 years that but I think that information was deleted when a new company took over the forum. But as I said, it really means nothing anyway.
