Can't set up my payout method

I recently had to switch to Managed by Ebay but I keep having trouble linking my chequing account for payout. Whenever I try to do so I get the error message "Sorry, we are unable to connect to your bank at this time. Please try again later." Not sure why that is? The only other thing I could try is to enter my bank details manually but is it less safe to do that?

Can't set up my payout method

Hi sarahz05.

If you search around here you will find 6 current threads of folks having various issues with MP. Yours caught my eye. In order for them to resolve the problem I was having (failied deposits) the Managed Payment specialist made me change my chequing account choice for payments back to PayPal.  I didn't ask why.  I suspect it has to do with problems they're having processing payouts.

Just a thought... Maybe the Adyen server needs to lighten an overload by diverting some transactions back to PayPal?

Can't set up my payout method

They relinked my payment methout to PayPal but for what reason I don't know.  Now that the system is working for me I can see FV payment's are deducted in advance and the monthly invoice comes out of my bank.  I think the clue is in the new Spring Seller Update. There 's mention in the section for New eBay.ca shipping labels. They are calling them "first party". I assume that means Shippo isn't involved.

With respect to PayPal here's what they say about new ebay CANADA labels. "

You can print FedEx, USPS or UPS shipping labels from Sold in My eBay, or from the Orders page in Seller Hub: FedEx and UPS shipping label charges will be invoiced on your monthly eBay invoice.

USPS shipping label charges will be pulled from your PayPal account. You must have a PayPal account to choose this option. To fund your USPS label, you can either link a bank account or credit card to the PayPal account or use your PayPal balance."

The article stipulates it's for eBAy.ca. but they talk about buying USPS labels. There is no mention of Canada Post.  One has to assume they sent the wrong info or, as stated, eBay CANADA Sellers can buy Canada Post labels (NOT USPS labels) using PayPal or  pending funds on eBay.ca.

It's a "wait and see' . The forum will fill up with trial and erros. Once things are clear change your  PayPal settings to best serve you after we know how it actually effects CANADA POST . I'm using Snap Ship until the smoke blows over  🙂

I use the ebay labels on ebay.ca - the only option with ebay labels is for Canada Post, nothing for Fedex, etc.
