A quesion about detailed seller ratings

I sometimes have buyers purchase several items a few days apart. When they leave feedbacks within a certain time period, only one counts. My question is, do each seller ratings count? They can be different in each feedback dsr ratings.

All DRSs left within the same week are averaged and counted as one.

So if you receive from the same buyer the same week 5 DSRs of 5, 5, 5, 4 and 5 total 24/25 it will be recorded as one 4.8

Thanks Pierre, i wondered if that would be the case, it's hard to work it out when dsr's appear a few days later than the feedbacks.

If you want to be really OCD about the 5 star ratings, you can go into the seller dashboard and it will tell you how many 1's and 2's you have received.  I sometimes check this when i think a transaction went subpar and see if the rating dropped after the buyer had left feedback.  If you look very shortly after feedback is left then you can tell if they sent 4 or less stars....but only if you have a lower volume of buyers.  If you get 300 feedback per day....this is impossible.  Eg.  I once sold 9 CD's to 1 buyer and they did not wait for a combined shipping invoice.  Even though I refunded the extra shipping after the transaction was complete, I received 9 x 1 or 2 star ratings for shipping and handling charges immediately after the buyer left their feedback.  Note: refunds don't show up in the feedback area, they can be seen only in the paypal transaction or the sale report.  Can't win.

You can always go professional OCD like the folks on Seller Central dot com that run DSR reports on a daily basis to spot who left low scores. Some of those folks are down right scary.

No, I am not into that. I just had a 1 on shipping cost, and had a buyer who purchased 3 lots of yarn each a couple of days apart, so the feedbacks were separate. I know that I only got one feedback increase for the 3, but just wondered how the system works with dsr ratings.

I find that is one of the problems with agreeing to one day shipping, if buyers purchase items a day or 2 apart, you can't combine shipping cost because they are already mailed. Some still ask for combined shipping however.
