Buyer I blocked twice is coming back again

Here's my problem... a buyer I blocked twice - yes twice - for not paying is coming back again under another ID. She probably asked a friend to buy the photos for her, because the sale confirmation from eBay states one name and address BUT the payment from PayPal shows a shipment address to the girl I don't want to ship to.

This time, the payment was made, but I don't want to sell my stuff to her! It is as simple as that. What can I do?

I contacted Raphael, but I don't know if he will reply. Last time I wrote to him about my negative feedback, I never got any answer....

There is no way to block a determined buyer. Block the ID's and block the emails, but there is nothing stopping them from registering another account/email or using the guest checkout. Your best recourse is to call ebay, give evidence of the linked accounts, then have them close out the transaction, assuming you have refunded. All they will do is warn the buyer not to create new accounts, but I've not seem them shut down linked accounts in this case, or at least one report was not a sufficient threshold for this. Customer service admitted there isn't much that can be done given the guest account loophole.

Re: Buyer I blocked twice is coming back again

I had exactly the same story - the blocked buyer has established a new identity just to come back on me for blocking her...

I called eBay, they recorded all her identities but while they were investigating all this they told me that I can cancel the sale for the reason "Problem with buyer's address'' (it actually is your situation!)...

I followed these instructions... And although she did not agree on cancellation within 10 days, the cancellation was granted after this period.

And the best part that this eBayer was kicked out from eBay under old and under new identities.

Of course, I do not know if she managed to sneak in again, but most likely she will not dare to appear in my store again.

Good luck!

Re: Buyer I blocked twice is coming back again

I have one buyer that has done this to me THREE TIMES! despite being blocked.  To add insult to injury, each time they got a refund because they either claimed "non receipt" or "not as described" and got their money back even though they never returned the item (bogus tracking number).  They also left negative feedbacks, except for the first item  which I refunded as soon as they claimed non-receipt.  I complained, verbally and by sending several reports.  I disputed their claims and ended up with 2 "Cases closed without seller resolution." One last year, and another this year.

Each time I spoke with a representative, I got the "I am sorry, I appreciate your predicament, I know where you are coming from" but nothing was done.  I got the bad marks against my account and the customer ended up with free merchandise. ($250)

The feedbacks they leave are full of negatives!  I am not the only person they are ripping off!

Re: Buyer I blocked twice is coming back again

The fact that she involved someone else in this is the most frustrating for me. What lies did she tell this poor woman to convince her to buy for her? Maybe this second party is totally innocent and does not know what is going on at all. What if I report her?

I thought about sending the items with tracking... after all, she paid the 2 photos seperely, so the sum of what she paid for Light Packet is close to the amount I would need for Tracked Packet. I would pay a part of it from my own pocket, but at least I would be protected on that front. But then, will she take this as an encouragement to continue her schemes?

I also thought about writing to the second party and explaining the situation with the hope she will understand my point of view if I just cancel. The question is with this, can I risk a negative feedback?

But why did she involve someone else? I mean, she could just have told her friend to buy the photos and then after receipt, ship them back to her without me knowing she was involved at all. But no... she had to ask the friend to enter her full mailing address in PayPal. Why? She wanted to know what I would do?

Arrrgggghhh, this is so frustrating!

Re: Buyer I blocked twice is coming back again

Well, after thinking it through and through, I finally decided that I will not encourage this kind of behavior. So I wrote to the poor girl who made the purchase for the blocked buyer.

I first said that I hope this message finds her fine and well. 😉 And then explained that I was about to print the label when I noticed the "ship to" address was not hers. I told her that I was sorry to tell her that I blocked - let's Ms. X since we are not allowed to name anyone here - 2 different IDs already for problems she caused me. And that now, I totally refuse to sell anything to her ever again.

I wrote that it was not against her in any way and that I'm truly sorry that Ms. X put her in a position like this. That I am sure she is a good person and was just trying to help. But that there is no way I want to sell my stuff to Ms. X.

And then I told her that I hope she understands my reasons if I cancel the orders and that I will of course give her full refunds of her purchases and that she won't be penalized in any way for this cancellation.

I really hope I did the right thing with this message... I will let a few hours pass, to make sure she receives it, and then send the cancellation requests. Hopefully, it will be the end of the story.

Wow, you were brave to put all of their user ids in your reply! I am going to block each username you put in your reply right now even though there is a tiny chance they will buy from me.
